Erin Meissner joined IES in December of 2025. Her passion for supporting schools in finding exceptional leaders stems from a career spanning more than 30 years in higher ed, independent schools, and executive search. Her blend of leadership insight, candidate management, and entrepreneurial savvy gives clients a comprehensive, personalized approach to every search. Her adept navigation of the dynamic educational landscape underscores a genuine commitment to equity and inclusion. Erin brings a strategic and tailored approach, ensuring her clients’ unique leadership needs are met with precision, thoughtfulness, and expertise.

Before joining IES Consulting, Erin collaborated with executive search teams at Storbeck Search | Diversified Search Group. Prior to that, she was Chief of Staff of Bold Rock Partners, leading the start-up on all issues related to human resources and corporate culture, and helping to guide them through the acquisition process. Previously, Erin was the sole proprietor of her own college counseling business, building a client list solely through referrals.
Erin began her career in undergraduate admissions at both Providence College and Boston College. In 2009, she shifted to the other side of the desk, serving as the Director of College Counseling at St. Anne’s-Belfield School. In that role, she established a broad support program for students and families, covering the entire college exploration, application, and admission journey.

A dedicated and mission-driven volunteer, Erin has supported several nonprofits, including Project Access, which delivers essential health, education, and employment services to families in affordable housing communities. Her work there centered on creating a comprehensive college counseling program for at-risk students, with a particular emphasis on expanding college access for low-income students of color. She now works with the Allen Scholarship, a program supporting first-generation, low-income students in Charlottesville, Virginia.
